Herbert Edward Brown was born in 1868 at North Weston near Thame in Oxfordshire, the son of David Brown and his second wife nee Susan Pullen.
He was baptised in Thame parish church on 28 June 1868.
He married Florence Worley on Christmas Day 1892 at St John's church, Ealing in Middlesex.
Herbert Edward and Florence Brown lived at 29 Westfield Road in West Ealing, and had the following children, all born in Ealing:
Kate Mabel Brown. She was born in 1893. When the 1911 Census was taken she was working as a housemaid in the household of a local wine merchant. She was unmarried, and died in 1978 at Havering in London.
Edie Emma Brown. She was born in 1895.
Herbert Edward Brown. He was born in 1896.
William George Brown. He was born in 1898.
Percy Walter Brown. He was born in 1900.
Evelyn Minnie Brown. She was born in 1907, and died in Kensington in 1963.
Sidney James Brown. He was born in 1909.
Peggy Jane Brown. She was born in 1910.
Their father Herbert Edward Brown died in 1931.
