William Melland was born in 1635, the son of William Melland who died in 1674 and his wife Elizabeth (maiden surname unknown).
In 1682 he bought Bradbury's Land at Youlgreave in Derbyshire for £230.
In 1699 he married Rebecca (maiden surname unknown).

Sarah Melland. She was born on 19 December 1671. She was married to Francis Prime.
William Melland 1675-1725
John Melland. He was born on 9 July 1682. He died in 1698, and was buried on 12 February 1698 at Youlgreave.
