Samuel William Worley was born in 1881 at Iver in Buckinghamshire.
In 1914 he married Harriet Rebecca Brient 1883-1962 at Kingston in Surrey.
They lived at Worcester Park in Surrey.
He served as a private soldier No. 53436 in the Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment).
As No. 82663 he was transferred to the 35th Company Labour Corps.
He died on 9 July 1918 in France, and was buried in a grave in the Longuenesse Cemetery near St. Omer in the Pas-de-Calais, France.
His name is commemorated at St John the Baptist church, Malden in Surrey.
