Sarah Eskildson was the daughter of George Eskildson (otherwise known as Jorgen Eskildsen), the Danish Consul-General in Dublin from 1791 to his death in 1807, and his wife formerly Henrietta Waller Taverner.
She was married to Edward Octavius Caesar Wall Du Val in 1804 (1), and they had the following children:
John Edward Burghall Wall Du Val. He was born in January 1805. He married twice, first Mary Jackson and secondly Eliza Murray.
George William Wall Du Val. He was born on 14 January 1806. He married Clara Lodge.
Henrietta Munsell Eskildson Wall Du Val. She was married to Edward Padmore of Manchester.
Charles Allen Sharp Wall Du Val He was born on 19 March 1810 and died in 1872. He married Mrs Elizabeth Renney, whose maiden name was Gregory. She was the daughter of James and Sarah Gregory of Manchester. He wrote "Charles Allen Sharp Wall Du Val finding his names too numerous for signature, uses of the five, viz Charles Allen Du Val or du Val by which names he is commonly known" (2).
(1) The year of marriage is given as 1804 in the handwriting of her son Charles Allen Du Val in the Du Val Family Scroll, but the Marriage Licence was issued in 1803 (Deputy Keeper's Thirtieth Report : Dublin Will and Grant Book Index 1270-1858 : Index to the Act or Grant Books and Original Wills page 332).
