George Worley 1856-1923 |
George Worley was born in 1818, the son of William Worley and his wife nee Lydia Bradley 1776-1849.
In 1851 he married Elizabeth Heasman 1815–1864, the daughter of William and Lucy Heaseman.
They emigrated to Australia in 1853. They sailed in the SS Madagascar on 11 March 1853 from Plymouth in Devon, and arrived at Melbourne in Australia on 6 June in that year.
They had the following children:
Elizabeth Ann Worley. She was born on 8 October 1853 at Sandridge (Port Melbourne), Victoria in Australia, and died there in 1854.
Louisa Elizabeth Worley. She was born at Sandridge in 1855. She was married to John Swainson 1832-1918, and they had six children. She died on 13 May 1948 at 28 Geelong Road, Footscray, Victoria, and was buried at Clunes in Victoria.
George Worley. He was born in 1856 at Green Hills near Buninyong in Victoria. He died on 17 June 1923 in the Government Hospital at Kalgoorie in Western Australia, and was buried at Boulder, Western Australia.
Their mother died on 23 December 1864 at Junction Diggings, Rokewood in Victoria, and was buried at Rokewood.
Her widower George Worley died on 13 June 1881 at Clunes in Victoria, Australia.
