Charles Allen Du Val

James Anlezark 1806-1874

James Anlezark was born on 3 February 1806 in Liverpool, a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He was the son of Thomas Ainsworth Anlezark and his wife nee Ann Starmer 1767-1825.

On 18 January 1830 aged 32 he married Elizabeth Jane Smith. She was born on 6 October 1817 and was only 12 years old at the time of her marriage. They had the following children:

James Anlezark. He was born and died in 1830.

Mary Ann Anlezark. She was born on 14 October 1832. She was married to George Plunkett on 3 September 1850, and they had six sons and seven daughters.

Eliza Anlezark. She was born on 31 August 1834, and was married to John Davis.

Jane Anlezark. She was born on 28 February 1836.

Charlotte Anlezark. She was born on 17 November 1837 and died three days later.

Elizabeth Jane Anlezark died on 29 November 1837 aged only 20 years.

James Anlezark remarried on 3 February 1838 on his 32nd birthday. His second wife was Matilda Hawthorne. She was born in London in 1821 and died on 16 July 1880 aged 59 years. They had the following children:

Thomas Ainsworth Anlezark. He was born on 22 February 1839, and died in 1928. On 25 October 1859 he married Charlotte Rogan 1842-1870, and they had four sons and a daughter.

Henrietta Augusta Anlezark. She was born in 1842, and was married to Richard Henry Worthing. They had one son.
