Francis Pershouse 1813-1890

Francis Pershouse was born on 28 October 1813 at Bridgnorth in Shropshire, the son of James Pershouse 1771-18210 and his wife née Elizabeth Pilling 1778-1849. He was baptised on 19 May 1814 at Wolverhampton Street Presbyterian Church in Dudley.

He became a cotton merchant in Manchester.

On 4 December 1858 he married Mary Reader 1821-1906 at Barton-upon-Irwell near Manchester. When the Census was taken in 1861 they were living at Cefn-y-Coed, Denbighshire in Wales.

They had a son Francis Pershouse born on 24 May 1841 in Manchester. He died on 11 May 1923 at Torquay in Devon.

His father Francis Pershouse died on 14 October 1890 at Exeter in Devon. His Will was proved on 15 November 1890 (1).
